通天閣のそびえる大阪の下町を代表する歓楽街、新世界。この街は明治36年に開催された第五回内国勧業博覧会の跡地を開発したものです。パリの街並みのように放射状の道路を敷設し、その中心に通天閣を建造しました。それからは今も昔も庶民の娯楽の場として、そして観光地として親しまれています。
Shinsekai is one of Osaka’s most interesting old downtown. This town was developed by the former Fifth National Industrial Exposition held in 1903. Rradial roads laid as Paris, and Tsutenkaku Tower was built in the center. Now, Shinsekai has become a place of entertainment and popular tourist destination.
