2021年10月23日から25日朝にかけて、渋谷駅山手線2番線ホームの拡幅工事及び、内外両線の島式ホーム化に向けた工事が実施されています。内回りの大崎～池袋が52時間にわたり運休となり、代わりに埼京線・相鉄線・臨時電車による輸送力代替が図られました。

2012年の渋谷ヒカリエオープン以降、駅周辺で急速な再開発が進められる渋谷駅周辺。その後も、渋谷スクランブルスクエアや渋谷ストリームなど、超高層ビルが次々と建設され、駅周辺の再開発・整備により、街全体が新しくなってきました。2021年現在、目立った工事が行われている渋谷駅桜丘口地区周辺、2023年の完成を目指し、広大な更地からの再開発が始まっています。コロナで外出が難しい最近ですが、通勤途中の時間を利用し、この地区をはじめ、変化著しい渋谷の毎日を記録することにしました。

Since the opening of Shibuya Hikarie in 2012,Rapid redevelopment is underway around Shibuya Station.After that, Shibuya Scramble Square, Shibuya Stream, etc.Skyscrapers are being built one after another, and due to redevelopment and maintenance around the station.The whole city of Shibuya is getting newer and newer.As of 2021, redevelopment is underway around the Sakuraga area of Shibuya station.This work is scheduled to be completed in 2023.Recently, it is difficult to go out due to the effects of infectious diseases.Using the time on the way to work, I will take pictures of changes in Shibuya every day.Please enjoy the translation of cityscapes in Tokyo.

渋谷。山手線沿線の大都市のうち、新宿や池袋と同様に西側の副都心として多くの商業地や企業が集まる都市。鉄道・バスを含め多くの路線が乗り入れるターミナル駅となっており、東京南西部や神奈川県と都心を結ぶ多くの路線が同駅を経由する。川崎市・横浜市や神奈川県央居住者の多くが集まるため、終日にわたり人の往来が絶えない。東急が中心となり、2027年まで大規模再開発が進められており、駅前には超高層複合ビルが次々と建設され、従来の繁華街・歓楽街のイメージから、清潔感・開放感のある未来都市のイメージに変わりつつある。

Shibuya. Shibuya is one of the major cities along the Yamanote Line, and like Shinjuku and Ikebukuro, it is the subcenter of the west side of the city where many commercial areas and companies are located. The station is a terminal station for many train and bus lines, and many lines connecting the city center with southwest Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefecture pass through the station. Many residents of Kawasaki City, Yokohama City, and the central part of Kanagawa Prefecture gather here, so there is a constant flow of people throughout the day. Tokyu Corporation is playing a central role in a large-scale redevelopment project that will continue until 2027, with the construction of skyscraper complexes in front of the station.
